» Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Backend Developer in the IBM Sustainability Software business unit, you’ll play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our Maximo Application Suite. Your responsibilities will include:
– Gaining a thorough understanding of our product functionalities.
– Engaging in requirement gathering to capture customer needs and expectations.
– Addressing defects and implementing enhancements to deliver high-quality releases and patches.
– Collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders, including Product Owners, Architects, Release Managers, Designers, Support Business Partners, and customers.
– Fostering strong relationships and effective communication to align efforts towards the successful evolution of our product portfolio.
» Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
– 1-2 years of experience in the IT industry, focusing on efficient, scalable, and high-performance web applications.
– Proven experience as a Frontend Developer, with a strong portfolio of previous projects.
– Hands-on experience with Java and Python.
– Strong knowledge of SQL, including DB2, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.
– Familiarity with JUnit and Agile methodologies.
– Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
– Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, GitHub, Travis CI, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
– Exceptional understanding of data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, and object-oriented programming.
– Knowledge of Open Shift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
– Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
